"Thank you for the
lovely garden. Both of us are very pleased with it, and we
wish you continuing success with your designs"
The brief was to create space, light and
a safe play area for a young baby in a tiny central london townhouse
garden. The clients requested lush green planting which would look
good all year from their sitting room which faces onto the garden.
They also required storage and plenty of seating. The solution was
to create a garden of right angles to open up the space and create
two separate seating areas connected by angled steps . The low walls
and dingy fences were painted white, and aromatic western red cedar
decking was used for the play area. Contemporary clean lines and
traditional london yellow bricks compliment each other and tie in
with the local area. Planting consisits of ferns, hostas, geraniums,
child friendly stachys, and airy mediterranean plants
