"I wanted to thank you for all your care and attention to detail you took with my garden. I came to you with many ideas of my own and you never over- ruled them but gently guided me through the process, incorporating as many as possible into a practical workable project and adding many suggestions of your own. You made the whole process unintimidating and I am absolutely delighted with the finished product which has given me a wonderful garden space to enjoy!"
The clients had more than doubled the size of their garden through the purchase of a neighbours land, which had created an L-shaped garden and a big difference in levels from one to the other.  They already had a small courtyard garden and wanted to bring the two spaces together in a unified design.  The whole garden was entirely cleared except for the Crabapple tree, which was kept to create a lovely feature and to add height. The garden was to be all hard standing, and the client wanted to create patterns and interest with curves and paving to create interest.   The solution was to find ingenious ways to use circle kits to create flowing lines and informal patterns, and blend them in with a curved bench, curved steps and raised curved beds, in brick to match the existing brick walls.  The paving is broken up with pockets of thyme and pachysandra as ground cover, and the remainder of the planting is low maintenance, in pretty blues, purples and whites to attract wildlife, plus a vegetable bed close to the kitchen.
